Not everything needs to be faster.
This 1.5-hour ceremony is designed as a pause - a shift away from constant input, using tea and agarwood to slow the mind and settle the senses.
We begin with a traditional tea session, allowing the body and attention to arrive. From there, you’ll be guided into the world of agarwood, not through theory, but through direct experience.
You’ll smell and compare different types of agarwood, noticing how subtle shifts in origin create different atmospheres. Rather than learning to “identify” scents, the focus is on how they feel - soft, dry, deep, or quiet, and how they sit in the space around you.
Most people come in curious. They leave quieter.
In ancient China, agarwood was not used as perfume. It was used during moments that required clarity and presence - writing, painting, thinking, etc. This ceremony brings that role into a modern context: scent as a simple, practical tool to reset.
At the end of the session, we shape and burn Zuan incense together, a traditional powdered form of agarwood, to gently close the space.
No prior knowledge is needed.
You don’t need to understand scent.
You just need to show up.
